New Season---Summer
Making “SUMMER”” count for CHRIST!

Summer can be a time of joy or disaster. Setting Godly standards, being a Godly influence, and building Godly relationships are the basic elements in making one’s summer count for Christ!
It’s also a time for resting and relaxing, a time for the cabin and the campground, a time to bask in the surf, sun, and sand; but... does God have any plans for us this summer?
I believe God wants to see growth happening in our lives as we enjoy this special season.
The temptation is to take a break from God and the Body and we can wind up in worse shape after this refreshing time than we were in going into it.
What should we be getting done this summer?
1. Make repairs.
Summertime is the time to repair the infrastructure that has been broken down by the harsh conditions that prevail throughout the rest of the year.
2 Chronicles 32:5
“Then he worked hard repairing all the broken sections of the wall and building towers on it. He built another wall outside that one and reinforced the supporting terraces of the City of David.”
This summer can be a major time of restoration. This is the season to make repairs.
What needs repairing around your house? I’m not talking about the residence where you live now… I’m talking about YOUR HOUSE… you. What has been beaten and battered by the harsh conditions? We need to do more than just relax in this enjoyable season because it is not always going to be this way.
Hebrews 12:12-13
“Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.”
When repairs need to be made things are going to go in one direction or the other.
What is lame will either be dislocated or healed. Either you make repairs or you head toward demolition. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Make repairs this summer, do some transformational growing this summer.
Come to the Lord, draw near with a contrite heart and be repaired this summer.
2. Grow.
Suck up all the life you can consume. Don’t miss the growing season, don’t take a break from walking with the light of life!
This is a time to be transformed, to be repaired, and to experience real spiritual growth.
One thing of amazement after the brutality of our winters is the way life springs forth in the summer months. You would think that no living thing could survive that cold; yet every year life conquers again.
Read: Psalm 1:1-5 / 2 Corinthians 3:15-18
It is also easy to get a good routine going on vacation. Get up and get planted by streams, delight yourself in and meditate on the word. Anything that is alive grows and we have some growing to do that will take more than one lifetime!
Romans 12:2 (Amp)
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
3. Prepare.
Soon the air will begin to feel a little different, the leaves will start to change, the harvest will be brought in, and we will be facing the beast again.
Proverbs 6:6-11
“Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest- and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.”
What should you do this winter… prepare now. The enemy does not take time off!
Plan to commit to a ministry here at the Church and determine now to be in church every Sunday.
The summer is the ideal time to get into the Word and experience renewal of your mind by its new ideals and its new attitude! Be blessed and encouraged!

SUMMER ENDING!  Sept. 1, 2017
Here we are at the end of summer, or nearly so. The official end of summer is still a few weeks away. This year, the true last day of summer is on Sept. 23 at 1:32 a.m.
However, it's the end of the summer feeling, for now it's back to reality, now it’s back to business and a breathless run through days and nights of activity. It’s the end of summer! Where does the time go? Is that what you are asking and feeling? Where does the time go? And I was going to do so much with my summer! Why, somebody says, I was going to get that closet cleaned out while I had a little extra time, without so many activities. I was going to plant that garden. Where did the time go? Can it really be the end of summer already? But no, the summer is ended and I did not accomplish what I set out to do.

Come to think of it, a whole lot of life is like that. There are all kinds of good intentions that most of us carry around, but we never get down to them. We never quite find the time to accomplish what we have said we want to do. And suddenly we wake up and find out that there isn't really any time left. The summer is ended, and 'we have to get on with other things. The summer is ended, and the chill of fall is coming, and no longer is there the leisure of saying, “Some day, one day.”

And again, I say a whole lot of life is like that! There is nothing to compare with the frustration of coming to a certain stage in your life at which you realize that you have missed something you will not be able to recover. There is nothing quite so anguishing as waking up to the fact that it is the eleventh hour, and there is practically no more time to achieve something that was very important.

In the Book of Jeremiah, the people cry out; Jeremiah the prophet reports their cry,
"The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved." "The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved." We don't have any time left, Jeremiah. Our days are almost over, and what we set out to do has not been accomplished.
The hopes and dreams of our lives … they are about to disappear with the sunshine of summer, they are about to be clouded over and lost in the confusion. Prophet of God, what do we do now? There is no time; “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved."

I believe we can learn from Jeremiah that even at the end of summer, when there seems to be no more time left, when it appears that all will be lost, we can hang on to A DREAM because God is still God, and He is providing, in His own way and on His own timetable.
I may not presume upon God; I may not simply expect God to be in the fixit business, taking care of all mess-ups. But hear the hear cry of Jeremiah and hear him hold out the hope that a sovereign God will not allow His purposes to be defeated.

The words of Jeremiah: “Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there?”
Oh, people of God, if there is a sickness, is there no cure? Is there no one to heal us if we hurt? Of course there is a balm in Gilead, of course there is a physician there.

But if we are not healed yet, understand that our God does work, He will work, on His own timetable and in His own way. But God is God and He is not defeated, not even by our fumbling, not even by our failure. The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and why are we not saved? We are not saved yet because we have been faithless; but also because God asks us to stay with Him for the long haul. God asks us not to panic, not to lose patience, but to get in step with Him.

You and I know the God of the fresh start. You and I know the God who in Christ Jesus says, now, now is the acceptable time, now is the salvation of our God. You and I know the God who in Christ Jesus stands ready to receive and to forgive, ready to make all things news. You and I know as Jeremiah never could have that the great physician now is here, Jesus!
And so wait no longer. Yes, the harvest is past and the summer is ended and we are not saved. But wait no longer; yet there is time to respond to what God is calling you to do. Yet there is time to turn the energies of these days, these years, to our God. Yet there is time to be saved. There is a balm in Gilead, to make the wounded whole; there is a balm in Gilead to heal the sin sick soul. The summer may be ending, but now there is time to claim His salvation.

A NEW SEASON ~ SPRING
GOD’S REVELATION OF HIS LOVE!
Genesis 8:22 King James Version (KJV)
” While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”
Daniel 2:21King James Version (KJV)
” And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:”
Spring is a revelation of God's love. It reminds us of the breadth of His generosity. Spring is constantly reminding us that God is no respecter of persons and that He has a generous heart He pours out the beauty of Spring .
Spring also symbolizes God's unchanging love. The pictures which God paints do not fade. God is the only Master whose masterpieces are fadeless. The colors of Spring in this year of grace are as fresh and beautiful as were the colors in the first Spring that ever greeted the eye, and down through all the ages. We should be confident and assured of this that Spring will be no less beautiful than what it has been from the beginning.
From everlasting to everlasting, God is God, He is the same yesterday, to-day, and for ever.
But “SEASONS” come and go. God has promised season alteration and understanding and how to benefit from those changes is wisdom from God. The key to navigating your new season is going to be gaining greater clarity about what God truly wants you to do. Are you to wait on Him? Do you need to make something happen with the gifts and tools he gave you? Will levering other's capacity launch you into your new season? .
Some of us require that first step though that initial submission to God, the ultimate submission to God. To say, you know what God. I haven’t submitted my ways to you; I've been doing me and doing me well.
Seasons are time frames that are allotted for something to happen in our lives.
Some of us have learned that in order to take advantage of the benefits that a season has
for us, we need to ask God to show us the right things to do during the season and
then do them.
Some of us have learned that when we “miss a season,” or get “ahead of a season” in our lives, we run the risk of not ever being able to capture all the things that were meant for us to acquire during that season and we run the risk of sustaining personal hurt and damage to our lives that can’t be reversed.
We have all done what is wrong from God’s perspective, no one is perfect. But we all want to experience the newness of life offered by Christ without first submitting our ways to Him. Without first understanding our place in His Will. God has already placed everything together in your favor.
It's time for your NEW SEASON OF HIS PURSUIT OF HIS PURPOSES IN YOUR LIFE.
